Adey Abeba

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The construction of the 60,000-seat national stadium in Addis Ababa dubbed Adey Abeba is expected to begin in the next few months.

The new stadium, which is expected to cost $100 million and take two years to complete, will also have 10,000 parking spaces.

The stadium’s design and construction is said to meet the standard and regulations set by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) and the IAAF’s (International Association of Athletics Federations) to hold World Cup and Olympic Games.

Sports fans in the capital will surely welcome the new addition and frankly speaking, it is about time that the nation’s capital will finally have a new and modern stadium worthy of its reputation as the capital city of Africa.

Ethiopia is currently undergoing a stadium construction revolution where a number of new stadiums have been built all around the country.
