UK eyes Ethiopia’s Green Energy Investment

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - The UK government has expressed its desire to work with Ethiopia on renewable energy sector through the active involvement of its private sector with their Ethiopian counterparts.

As part of UK’s initiative of low carbon business in East Africa, Gregory Barker MP, State Minister for Energy and Climate Change, UK’s Department of Energy and Climate Change was is here on trade mission to meet local private sectors on Thursday on how to cooperate on mutual interest to exploit Ethiopian huge potential of renewable energy.

On the occasion held at the British Embassy, UK’s state minister told local businessmen: “We came here with all true partnership.”

What was said is the largest ever Green Growth Mission to visit Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia,  the UK delegation is undertaking a series of campaigns to promote British initiative on climate change finance in Ethiopia as well as Kenya and Tanzania. Read more
