Ethiopia listed 132nd in the latest FIFA Ranking

Zurich, Switzerland – Ethiopia finished 132nd in the 2010 October FIFA World Football ranking.

Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany and Argentina took the Top-5 positions respectively. Three African Countries, Egypt (11), Ghana (17) and the Ivory Coast (19) are listed in the Top-20 list.

Ethiopia stayed in the 120s range for the first five months of the year, and dropped to 146 in Jun, followed by 144 in July. Ethiopia was listed at 133rd last month.

Ethiopia’s highest ranking was in December 1992 (85) and its worst listing in December 2001 (155). Ethiopia was the best mover in the world in July 2008 when it jumped 23 spots in the ranking, when a month prior the country recorded the worst move when it dropped 42 slots.
