Egyptian Premier League outfit El-Gouna have announced on Tuesday the departure of Ethiopia midfielder  after his contract with the club was ended prematurely.

Panom had joined El-Gouna from Ethiopian side Mekelle Kenema FC in summer 2018 and put pen to paper on a three-year contract that keeps him at the club until 2021.

Panom has started his career at Ethiopian Coffee Addis Abeba, before moving to Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala in July 2017.

He spent only eight months in Russia, representing Anzhi just once in the cup, and then returned back to his home country, signing for Mekelle Kenema.

“Everyone at  would like to thank Gatoch Panom for his service over the past year. Gatoch leaves the Club today with all the best wishes of all Gounies,” El-Gouna announced on Facebook.

El-Gouna have evidently been the most active team in the current transfer window having reinforced their team with the likes of Mohamed Naguib, Amr Barakat, Allan Kyambadde and Islam Mohareb among others.
