Shenzhen Marathon: Second-place finish for Ethiopian Athletes

Ethiopian athletes finished second in both men and women’ s races at the Shenzhen Marathon today. 

In the men’s race, Temesgen Gonfa finished second (2:18.01) behind pre-race favourite Peter Kimeli of Kenya (2:14.40).

In the women’s race, Mulu Seboka, one of the pre-race favourites in the women’s race and owner of a 2:21:56 PB, had to settle for second place in 2:35:28 ahead of compatriots Nigist Muluneh Desta and Shuru Diriba Dulume.

Kyrgyzstan’s Viktoria Poliudina won the race in 2:33.25.
