Ethiopia’s 2011 World Championships 10,000m gold medallist Ibrahim Jeilan continues his comeback after injuries in 2012 ruined his Olympic ambitions and he will compete in the SPAR Great Ireland Run, an IAAF Silver Label Road Race, in Dublin on 14 April.

Race organisers announced on Tuesday (26) that Jeilan will face Australia’s Collis Birmingham, who finished in an excellent eighth place at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships on Sunday, his country’s best result in the senior men’s race since 1992.

Other top names on the start line in Dublin’s famous Phoenix Park include: Morocco’s Abderrahim Bouramdane, who finished fourth in the 2011 World Championships Marathon and Ukraine’s nine-time European cross country champion Sergiy Lebid. Read more
