Ethiopian Graduates 20 Pilots and 72 Cabin Crews

EthiopianAirlinesGraduatesAddis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Ethiopian Aviation Academy graduated 20 Pilots and 72 Cabin Crew at a ceremony held at the Ethiopian Headquarters on Tuesday, 25 December 2012.

At the graduation ceremony, Ato Tewolde GebreMariam, CEO of Ethiopian, gave out diplomas and flight wings to the graduates. “In line with its 15 years strategic roadmap Vision 2025, the Ethiopian Aviation Academy is undertaking massive facility expansion projects, which will enable it to be the most competitive and leading aviation training center in Africa. The academy is in the process of enhancing and diversifying is training services, and increasing its admission capacity to cater not just for the needs of the Ethiopian Aviation group but to meet the demand from Africa and elsewhere. By 2025, close to half of its trainees will come from third party admissions,” said CEO Tewolde.

By the end of 2025, the academy will increase its admission capacity by fourfold from the current intake capacity of 1,000 trainees per year.
