Administration to transfer 7,300 condos to beneficiaries today

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (WIC) – Some 7,300 condominium houses will be transferred to residents of Addis Ababa City Administration today, Administration’s Construction and Housing Development Bureau said.

Bureau Head, Getachew Hailemariam, told journalists here yesterday the condos will be transferred in a lottery draw to be broadcasted live on ETV2 in the presence of observers.

Getachew indicated that the condos to be transferred for the 7th time on Sunday are located at various sites around the city, including Lideta sub city.

Addis Ababa City Administration’s Housing Development and Administration General Manager, Mesfin Mengistu, on his part said the winners of the houses are expected to fulfill the necessary formalities within a month.

Off the 84,000 houses under construction in the metropolis, up to 50,000 condos will be transferred to beneficiaries this Ethiopian budget year, he added.
