Ethiopia Football: Coffee defeats Dire Dawa 3-0, Dedebit squeezes by EEPCO 3-2

Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Coffee is getting closer to clinch its first Ethiopian Premier League title after it defeated Dire Dawa Kenema 3-0 here today.

Earlier in the day, Dedebit FC squeezed by EEPCO 3-2, while Harar Brewery and Sidama Coffee drew 1-1 in Dire Dawa.

Coffee led 1-0 at half-time thanks to Dawit Moges’ goal on 38th minute. But it was striker Mulu-Alem Tilahun’s double on the 67th and 75th minutes, that sealed the faith of Dire Dawa.

Following today’s victory, Ethiopian Coffee has now collected 58 points from 29 matches, followed by Dedebit FC (55 pts, 29 matches), St. George (54 pts, 28 matches), Sidama Coffee (53 pts, 29 matches) and Defence Force (52 pts, 28 matches).

Having said, Ethiopian Coffee has to win its last match against Mugher Cement to clinch the title as Dedebit FC and St. George have equal chances to win it all.
