Ethiopia Football: Ethiopian Coffee in driver seat with 3-1 victory over Fincha Sugar

Addis Ababa –Ethiopian Coffee took advantage of Defence Force’s setback yesterday to defeat Fincha Sugar 3-1 here today and to go on top of the Ethiopian Premier League.

Ethiopian Coffee and Defence Force shared the lead of the EPL, until the latter dropped two valuable points here yesterday when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Hawassa City.

With today’s victory, Ethiopia Coffee now seats in the driver’s seat with 20 points followed by Defence Force with 18 points.

According to Ermias Amare’s FaceBook Page report, Ethiopian Coffee scored two first-half goals by Mulualem Tilahun and defender Abdela Shemssu.  Minyahel Teshome scored the third and it was not until the 89th minute that Fincha Sugar scored its consolation goal.

Ethiopian Coffee rested some of its key players today in preparation of its upcoming encounter arch rival St. George FC next week.

With today’s goal, Mulualem Tilahun now leads the EPL’s top scoring charts with 7 goals, followed by Getaneh Kebede of Dedebit FC with 6 goals.
