Sebastopol to Build City’s Biggest Cinema Complex

Theodros Teshome KebedeAddis Ababa, Ethiopia - Sebastopol Entertainment Plc is to construct a two-tower, four-storey multiplex on a 948 sqm plot it has leased, in Arada District, for seven million Birr.

Sebastopol paid 30pc of the total lease price when it acquired the land early in February, according to Tewodros Teshome, manager of Sebastopol Entertainment.

The multiplex has been designed by Chartered Structural Consulting Engineers Plc(CSC) for 310,000 Br.  Construction is expected to cost 50 million Br and will begin in June 2013.

The first tower will have 10 cinema screens, five of which will seat 250 people, whilst the largest will accommodate 1,000 cinema goers. The four remaining screens will have seats for between 400 and 600 people.

The second tower will mainly be used as an entertainment centre, with play areas for children, as well as a food court that will serve a variety of cuisines, according to Tewodros. Read more Addis Tribune
