Ethiopian Premier League: Defence extends lead, St. George moves to 6th place
Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) leader Defence Force extended their lead of the championship with a 2-1 victory of Dedebit FC here today.
Defence lead 2-0 at one-time.
Meanwhile, defending champions St. George climbed 3 spots to 6th with a 1-0 victory over Fincha Sugar in Fincha. The victory is great news for their fans who are perplexed by their team’s uncharacteristic performance this year.
Defence Force currently has a 5-point lead over Ethiopian Coffee, with both teams having played 13 matches each.
Despite a crucial loss today, Dedebit FC (21 pts – 12 matches) has still one match in hand.
