Genzebe Dibaba wins Gold in 3,000m

Sopot, Poland– Ethiopia’s sensational athlete Genzebe Dibaba won the women’s 3,000m race at the IAAF World Indoor Championships here today in a time of 8:16.60.

Hellen Obiri of Kenya and Ethiopian-born Maryam Yususf jamal of Bahrain finished in second and third places respectively.

In the men’s 3,000m race, Dejen Gebremeskel came in 3rd, with  Hagos Gebrhiwet finishing a disappointing 5th place.
