CECAFA Cup: Last Chance for Ethiopia
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – A victory against Malawi here tomorrow is a must If Ethiopia wants to advance to the quarter-finals of the CECAFA Cup.
Ethiopia is currently in last place in the group with just one point and a -2 goal difference after two matches.
But despite the team’s current precarious position, it still has a chance to advance from its group if it beats Malawi by more than two goals.
The big question is whether Ethiopian strikers, who have been ineffective  (1 goal in 2 matches) so far, will finally hit their targets and be productive.
For its part, Malawi tops the group with 4 points with a win over Kenya (2-0) and a draw with Sudan (1-1).
The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter finals, and they will be joined by the two best third placed teams.
