Olympic Marathon winner Samuel Wanjiru dies in fall
The Kenyan Olympic marathon champion, Samuel “Sammy” Wanjiru, has died after falling from a first-floor balcony at his home in the town of Nyahururu.
Police say they are investigating whether it was suicide or an accident.

BELGRADE, Serbia — Gebrselassie Tsegaye of Ethiopia won the 24th Belgrade Marathon on Sunday, ending five years of dominance by Kenyans.

Deriba Merga to headline Lake Biwa Marathon field
Otsu, Japan – Deriba Merga of Ethiopia and Paul Kipsang of Kenya will headline a strong team at the 66th edition of Lake Biwa Marathon here on Sunday.

London, UK – Reigning champion Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia will return here to defend his Virgin London Marathon title on Sunday, April 17, 2011.
