produced numerous world class athletes such as Abebe Bikila and Mamo Wolde (Royal Body Guards), Miruts Yifter (Air Force), Haile Gebreselassie
and Derartu
Tulu (Police), to name
a few. But in the last few years, some government owned institutions
and a relatively small number of former athletes have created
their own clubs.
