Ethiopia Earns $1.4 billion From Tourism In Six Months

Addis Ababa – (FBC) – Ethiopia has earned 1.4 billion US dollars from tourism in the first half of this fiscal year (July –December, 2018), falling short of the target.

The plan was to secure 2.7 billion US dollars but the country managed to attain 53% of its target by earning 1.4 billion US dollars, said Dr Hirut Kassa, Minister of Culture.

About 380, 376 foreign tourists have visited Ethiopia’s tourist attraction sites in the reported period.
