To date, Zelalem Teshome remains one of the only two Ethiopians to have graced Kenyan topflight the “Kenyan Premier League.”

The other was Solomon Tebebe who played for Gor Mahia’s arch rivals AFC Leopards and Tusker FC.

Teshome passed away on 11 December 2016 at the age of 49 in the United States of America and was buried back home in Ethiopia.
