St George forward Salhadin Said is optimistic he will perform better when the Ethiopian Premier League second half of season commences.

Despite a brilliant play at the beginning of league, Salhadin struggled with nagging injuries managing seven goals in the league though his team,St.George did not stumble and managed to finish in the top position.

Speaking to soka25east after their 2-0 win against Cote D’Or in CAF Champions League , Salhadin mained that despite his team having tough time he had himself a good season with horsemen.

“I had two injuries in this season. Its terrible to encounter two injuries at a time in a half season. But,now,I’m working hard to fully recover and to gain my previous years performance.

“This year’s Ethiopia Premier league is tough,every club is working hard and challenging us very well. But,our performance in the first round outweighs all the other reason for our result,” Salhadin added.

With all the challenges the national team striker added that his side will rise up and continue fighting for the tiltle.

“But,now we are recovering well and we finished the first round by being the league leader.We are sure in our good performance in the second round of the league & we will definitely be the champions.” he added.

St George finished in first position with 29 points two more than second places Debedit.
