Dedebit FC fires Coach Yohannes Sahle just after three games

Coach Yohannes Sahle

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Dedebit FC, who won the 2012/13 Ethiopian Premier League title, has sacked its head coach Yohannes Sahle, just 3 games into the new season.

The club started the season with a 3 -0 victory over city rival Ethiopian Coffee. National team striker Getaneh Kebede, who returned home from a three-year stint with South African side Bidvest, scored a hat-trick. This was followed by a 2-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions Kedus Giorgis (Saint George) and managed to share a point with newly promoted side Woldya Ketema.

There are rumors in the capital that former Walia coach and the team’s current technical director Asrat Haile might take over the coaching position.

Dedebit currently seats in 8th place and will play host to Hawassa Ketema in Week 4 this Sunday.
