Saint George scores a 2-0 victory over Dedebit FC

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The second week of the Ethiopian Premier League continued here today with defending champions Saint George scoring a 2-0 victory over city rival Dedebit FC, while newly promoted local side Addis Ababa City drew scoreless with new comer Jimma Abba Bunna.

Saint George’s goals came in the first half with Mentesenot Adane (24′) and veteran Adane Girma (45′) the scorers.

Elsewhere, Adama City was a 2-0 winner at home against Sidama Bunna with goals coming from Mujib Kasim (69′) and Michael George (90′).

Newly promoted side Woldia FC traveled south to Arba Minch and managed to snatch a point as the game ended in 0-0 draw. 

Ethio-Electric suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of local side Dire dawa City. Although the game started well for Electric with Fitsum Gebremariam scoring just four minutes into the game, Dire Dawa managed to repond with two goals of its own. Ermias Belete (44′) and Yared Tadesse (63′) were the scorers.

After two matches, Saint George and Adama City remain the two undefeated sides,
