Genzebe Dibaba defends 3 000m crown
Genzebe Dibaba of Ethiopia successfully defended her 3 000m crown at the in Portland, Oregon, on Sunday, romping to an easy victory.
Dibaba powered home around 50 metres clear of her nearest rival, compatriot Meseret Defar, clocking a time of 8min 47.43sec.
Shannon Rowbury of the United States took the bronze.
It was a third consecutive world indoors gold medal for Dibaba, who won the 1 500m crown in 2012 and the 3 000m title two years ago in Sopot, Poland.
