Mark Martinovic has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hotel Partners Africa (HPA) after the resignation of Vernon Page, who has been undertaking the role since March 2013. Mark, in addition to his role as CEO, will continue to head the division of Design and Construction.

Mark said “We thank Vernon for all the tremendous work he has undertaken at Hotel Partners Africa, helping us through the inception of the only full service hospitality consultancy specialising in sub-Saharan Africa, and taking it to its market-leading position today. His hard work and dedication have helped make the company the success that it is. It is with great regret that he is leaving, and we wish him well.”

Vernon is leaving Hotel Partners Africa for personal reasons. He said “I am passing on the baton of leadership of this ground-breaking partnership into the very safe hands of Mark. With over 27 years’ experience in African hospitality he will ensure that the core values of HPA – quality, integrity and client satisfaction – remain at the heart of everything the company does.”

Trevor Ward (Chairman and Head of Consultancy Services of HPA) echoed these sentiments. “We are extremely sad to see Vernon leave but are sure that his move will be beneficial for him. We have no doubt that Mark’s leadership will steer Hotel Partners Africa onto even greater things.”

David Harper (Head of Property Services) concurred. “This feels like the end of an era, but we are confident that we will still maintain our very high client satisfaction scores. Mark’s leadership will bring new initiatives, which will result in an even better service for our clients.”
