Ethiopia Women U20 Side brush aside Cameroon in World Cup qualifier, set date with Burkina Faso

Jubilant Ethiopians

Ethiopia’s Women National Under 20 team produced a virtuoso performance in Barhir Dar beating favourites Cameroon 2-1 to knock them out of the World Cup Qualifiers.

The victorious ladies put aside the harrowing treatment meted on them while in Cameroon where they had to endure cold night at the Airport after they were neglected by the Cameroon Football Federation to put up a spirited performance that was lauded by many pundits.

The win ensured Ethiopia advanced to the last round of the Women U-20 World Cup where they will face off with Burkina Faso in September.

In contrast the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) accorded the Cameroonians first class treatment upon arrival in Ethiopia.

Thanks for the EFF for doing the traditional Ethiopian ways of treating Guests.

  2. I dont understand these west Africans… They always use abusing a visiting team before the mach as a winning tactic. No wonder they always fail in away matches.
