Kedir YahyaCAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. – A cab driver was found shot to death inside his taxi cab in Capitol Heights early Wednesday morning.

The owner of Silver Cab identified the slain driver as 29-year-old Kedir Yahya.

He was an immigrant from Ethiopia who resided in D.C.

Police say they have not established any suspects and have no motive for the crime.

Witnesses and police say the 29-year-old driver was found in his cab at about 1 a.m. on Balsamtree Drive with the front end bumper-to-bumper with another car as if the cab had smashed into the back of it.

At this point, Prince George’s County police are not saying how long the cab had been here, but based on GPS information, the owner of the company says Yahya had been there for a couple of hours before he was found.

Yahya was known around Silver Cab in Landover, Md., as a nice, outgoing guy. He was always friendly to the owner and staff.
