Walias set for Atletico Luziana Friendly in Brazil Tour
Ethiopia Walia Ibex preparations ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifers have hit top gear with another friendly match tonight against Atletico Luziana.
The match will be played at the Stadium Serra do Lago a 21,000 person capacity stadium then later on Wednesday they will play against Club Brasiliense FC at the Stadium Boca do Jacare carrying a maximum of 27,000 .
On Saturday Walia came from behind after an early Club Gama penalty to equalize and settle on a 1-1 draw in an exciting friendly match.
Coach Mariano Barreto has been pacing up trying to find the winning formula from a talented squad of players he settle for in the trip to Brazil.Since his appointment Ethiopia has seen a flurry of activities with the latest an intitiave of Ethiopian football federation under Junedin Bashah and his agent Mario Texeira who organised the Brazil football tour.
Ethiopia will be looking to replicate their 2013 superb form where they qualified for the 2013 Afcon and later qualified for the 2014 CHAN while missing the World Cup 2014 losing to Nigeria in the play offs.
Ethiopia are grouped alongside Algeria ,Mali and Malawi.
