Royal Nairobi Golf Club, The oldest Golf Club in East Africa is set to host Africa’s biggest corporate amateur golf tournament ever held in Africa on 18 October 2013: The Kenya Golf Trophy

The Kenya Golf Trophy will be a golf extravaganza with the largest number of sponsors, and the largest prize kitty ever held in Africa.

An impressive list of 50 leading international and local brands are sponsoring this event:

Heineken Premium Beer is again the main sponsor, Etihad Airways the Official Airline, while NAS Cuisine will sponsor delicious food the whole day, PepsiCo the sodas and the sound, Bacardi the spirits and cocktails, Makkim Australian wines and Nestle the coffee and teas.

The Tournament is organized by Tobs Kenya Golf Safaris, Travel and Events and the music provided by WDJ, Michael Waithaka.

While the overall winner will get a crystal trophy as memento, his/her name will be engraved on the floating Chrystal Trophy. The winner will also take home 2 Etihad Airways tickets to any Etihad Destination in the world plus a Heineken branded Callaway Golf Bag. The runner-up will also receive 2 Etihad Airways tickets to any destination in the world, while other prizes include 1 week in Spain’s Montecastillo including unlimited golf, 1 week in Bulgaria’s Thracian Cliffs in a suite with 3 rounds of golf and many other hotel stays in South Africa, Thailand and Kenya for other winners.

The event will be in support of the Junior Golf Foundation, whose objective it is to promote junior golf participation and competition for boys and girls from the ages of five to eighteen.

The field will be expected to be full with 200 players, filled with the “Who is Who” of Kenya’s business and government leaders.

1 month before the event there is room for an additional 50 players. For Ksh 12,000/- per golfer including a guest for the evening party, the Kenya Golfers will experience an action packed day, with 1 prize to be won for every 6 golfers.
