Week 18: Dedebit defeats St. George 3-1
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Dedebit FC, who currently sits at the helm of the Ethiopian Premier League, scored its 12th victory of the season with a 3-1 win over defending champions St. George here today.
Meanwhile, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and Ethiopian Insurance played to a scoreless tie in a match played earlier.
Dedebit led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a header by Berhanu Bogale (38’). Yonathan Berhane scored the equalizer (71’) for St. George. Addis Hintsa put Dedebit ahead five minutes later, and Dawit Fekadu scored the all important third goal (84’) to secure his team’s victory.
The league will resume tomorrow with 5 more matches.
