Global Traveler To Name Airline and Hotel of the Year Nominees

Global Traveler MagazinePress Release

Yardley, Pa., Feb. 25, 2013 – Global Traveler, the only monthly magazine for business and luxury travelers, will soon announce the 2013 nominees for Airline and Hotel of the Year. The award was first introduced in 2011. What airline and hotel will named the third winners of the coveted awards?

The inaugural winners were Asiana Airlines (Airline of the Year 2011) and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts (Hotel of the Year 2011), followed by South African Airways (Airline of the Year) and Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts (Hotel of the Year) in 2012. These companies are not eligible to win the award again for three years.

The nominees are selected based on Global Traveler staff experience and recommendations. Final nominees are narrowed down from one master list. Nominees are invited to fill out an online application with pertinent information, including financial data, occupancy rates, load factors, on-time figures, safety records and menus. A selected panel of Global Traveler employees and Advisory Board members choose the winners based on information completed by the individual airlines and hotels, outside research and experience. Only those invited are considered for the honor.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the nominees. The winners are announced in the December issue. For more information about Global Traveler, visit www.globaltravelerusa.com.
