Amerga bows gracefully out of banking

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Veteran banker and president of Nib International Bank (NIB) Amerga Kassa officially resigned from his post, passing the baton to his deputy, Kibru Fonja.
Ã¢â‚¬Å“I have family matters I need to attend to and I want to rest as well. That is why I have decided to retire. I have dedicated my time and energy to the job and it is time for me to call it a day,Ã¢â‚¬Â Amerga told reporters at a meeting held at the the head office on Thursday.
The Board of directors of NIB accepted the resignation letter and appointed Kibru to be the acting president of the bank.
