Best beach resort in the world is in Seychelles

Maia Luxury Resort and Spa won the prestigious award of the Best Beach Resort in the world. Readers Choice award of Russian edition of Conde Nast Traveler, a worldwide and reference tourism magazine, unanimously voted for Seychelles Maia Luxury Resort and Spa as the number one beach resort in the world.

MAIA Luxury Resort and Spa was competing against the most reputed and glamorous resorts of high-end international destinations. This year’s award of Best Beach Resort in the world by Conde Nast Traveler was proven to be tighter than ever as MAIA Luxury Resort and Spa was competing against the most reputed and glamorous hotels and resorts in the world, namely Four Season Resort in Bora Bora, Atlantis Palm Hotel and Resort in Dubai, and Luxury Resort in Bali and Maldives.

For the Conde Nast Traveler Readers Choice poll there wasn’t any unexpected twist in the race for the Best Beach Resort, as MAIA Luxury Resort and Spa, a reference of awards recipients in the Conde Nast Traveler and that of a five-star hotel in Seychelles, was a high scorer throughout the competition for the coveted title.

The General Manager of MAIA Luxury Resort and Spa, Frederic Vidal, flew to Russia on November 15, 2012 to receive the award in a prestigious ceremony.

Commenting on the achievement, Frederic Vidal said, “It’s a blowout victory for the resort currently ranked 12 on the list of reader’s choice of the magazine’s top 100hotels and resorts in the world.”

The Conde Nast Traveler award ceremony in Russia also announced a completerundown of winners in all the Readers Choice categories such as France’s capital city Paris was nominated the number one most beautiful city in the world, Emirates representatives flew home with the world’s best airline company award, and Changi in Singapore as the world’s best international airport.
