Jimma University to enroll over 4,650 new students

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Jimma University in Oromia State said preparations are finalized to enroll more than 4,650 new students in the regular program 2005 E.C. academic year.

Academic Research and Students’ Affairs Vice-President with the University, Dr. Taye Tolemariam said the students will receive a first degree level training.

Dr. Taye said 1980 of the stated number of students will receive training in technology sector.

The university will enroll students in power generation, water and sugar technology with a view to creating skilled human power towards success of the country’s development endeavors.

It will also launch 24 new postgraduate programs during the reported period, he said.
