Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Essete Gebriel has been recently appointed as DHL Country Manager to Ethiopia.

And as a country manager for the internationally well-known courier service provider, Esssete is being tasked with driving DHL business growth and market share in Ethiopia, currently one of the most vibrant markets for the DHL business in sub-Saharan Africa, according to the company.

With over fourteen years of experience in the freight and logistics industry, Essete has worked for various companies in key management positions including commercial, sales and marketing. Among the highlights of her career in logistics was the establishment of the first intra-city company which she established but surprisingly passed the ownership to make a comeback to DHL that she had previously served as a commercial manager.

Essete sat down to speak to The Reporter’s Hayal Alemayehu about the challenging task she faced as a country manager for DHL, why she had to leave the company she established to join back the express and related issues. Read interview on The Reporter.
