Sofia Assefa wins Bronze medal in Women’s 3,000m Steeplechase
London, UK – Sofia Assefa of Ethiopia won a bronze medal after she finished third (9:09.84) in the women’s 3,000 Steeplechase here today.
Yuliya Zaripova of Russia won gold, followed by Habiba Ghribi of Tunisia. Ethiopia’s other representatives, Hiwot Ayalew and Etenesh Diro finished in fifth and sixth position respectively.
Ethiopia has 2 gold and 2 bronze medals so far.
