Men’s 3000m Steeplechase: Gari Roba & Nahom Mesfin advance to Sunday’s Final
London, UK – Gari Roba and Nahom Mesfin of Ethiopia advanced to the final of the 3,000 Steeplechase on Sunday by finishing in the Top-5 positions of their respective heats here today.
Roba finished first in Heat 3 in 8:20.68, while Mesfin placed 5th (8:18.16) in Heat 1. Meanwhile, fellow compatriot Birhan Getahun, who was competing in Heat 2, was taken off the track on a wheelchair after he slammed straight into the hurdle and crashing hard to the track.
