Cotonou, Benin – The score at half-time between Benin and Ethiopia is 1-1. Here is a Live report from BBC Sport.
The rain in Cotonou earlier has made life really difficult for the two teams – and it’s pretty equal so far between Benin and Ethiopia. The pitch is really cutting up because of the downpours. And – despite the tension in the tie – it’s not a full house..
15:40 - Michael Pote who’s got the goal for Benin after great work from Babatunde Bello (1-0).
15:51 - Ethiopia go close! Remember an away goal for the visitors would make life very hard for their hosts Benin – who lead 1-0 but didn’t score an away goal in the first leg. The Waliyas have just recorded their first corner of the match – right towards the end of the first half – and it’s cleared away after a goal mouth scramble!
15:53 - Ethiopia equalise! It’s 1-1 between Benin and Ethiopia and now the visitors have an away goal. Sounds like a cracking game in Cotonpou. Adane Girma is the scorer – he controlled the ball on the penalty spot, turned and fired home in some style, just before the break to leave Fabien Farnolle, the Beninois goalkepper, floundering. Great goal.
Update on Saladin
The Walias are without the service of ace striker Saladin Said, who is sidelined due to a hamstring injury he suffered last week in Addis Ababa after scoring his second goal of the match against Central Africa Republic (CAR) in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.
