Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Ethiopian national soccer team, aka the Walias, defeated Central Africa Republic (CAR) 2-0 here today to go on top of Group A for the 2014 World Cup qualifier match.
Saladin Said, who currently plays as a forward for Wadi Degla FC in the Egyptian Premier League, scored both goals (37 & 86). It was Saladin, who also scored Ethiopia’s goal against South Africa last week.
The Walias dominated the match and deserved to win as they created several goal scoring opportunities.
Seyoum Tesfaye, Addis Hintsa and Asrat Megersa were replaced by Shimelis Bekele, Mesoud Mohammed and Berhanu Bogale respectively in the second half.
The Walias and CAR now share top spot in the group with 3 points (+1 goal) each after 2 matches.

I completely agree with Daniel. The team got the potential to go through, so they have to get ready and be physically fit on their upper body. I think this is it.. the team is ready!
I am so proud of our team the only thing I can say is they need to build their upper body; probably workout in the gym is not a bad idea instead of playing score outside only. I believe this will benefit the team in the long run if they ever get a chance to play with a time like Ghana and Nigeria.
