Tammy Dunn, Snohomish County Sports Commission, elected to board of Directors of the National Association of Sports Commissions

Snohomish County, WA – Tammy Dunn, CSEE, Sports Marketing Manager for the Snohomish County Sports Commission, has been elected to the board of directors for the National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) for 2012 to 2015.  She was installed along with five other new board members during the NASC’s annual symposium in Hartford, CN in April, which drew a record crowd of more than 700 attendees.

Dunn has been the Sports Marketing Manager for the Snohomish County Sports Commission for 6½ years.  She is a graduate of the Certified Sports Event Executive (CSEE) program through NASC.  Actively involved with NASC since 2005, she has served on NASC Marketing, Member Mentoring and Meeting committees.

Dunn is also on the board of the Rotary of Everett and Advisory Board of the Snohomish County Parks & Recreation.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Montana State University and Master of Science in Business Administration from City University in Seattle, WA.

Snohomish County Sports Commission
The Snohomish County Sports Commission (SCSC) works to enhance Snohomish County’s economy, image as a premier sports destination, and way of life for its residents by attracting diverse regional, national and international athletic events, assisting existing athletic events, supporting development of new athletic events and facilities, and marketing recreational and leisure activities to athletic event organizers and participants. The SCSC works in tandem with the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, a non-profit economic development agency responsible for the year-round professional tourism marketing of county.

National Association of Sports Commissions

NASC Sports Event Symposium
The NASC Sports Event Symposium is the NASC’s annual convention and meeting. Attendees of the Symposium are provided with: Educational Sessions highlighting what’s “hot” in the sports event industry; Event Marketplace where event owners meet one-on-one with attendees to discuss bringing their events to a community; Vendor/Supplier Expo to find out what products are available to the sports event industry; networking opportunities.
