Awash Ethiopian Restaurant to open in Brooklyn

New York, NY – Awash Ethiopian Restaurant, which already operates two Ethiopian restaurants in Manhattan, will open its first eatery in Brooklyn.

The new restaurant will be located at 242 Court Street, between Kane and Baltic streets, in the space formerly occupied by Quercy.

About Awash Restaurant

Established in 1995, Awash has become popular with local Ethiopian expatriates and is frequented by the New Yorkers. Owner Bogalech Marrero named her restaurant after the Awash River, a tributary of the Blue Nile.

Its menu includes a selection of Ethiopian entrees, vegetarian, beef, lamb and poultry dishes.

Combining contemporary decor with rustic and warm color scheme, Awash Restaurant offers a relaxed environment. It also features Ethiopian art and an impressive portrait collection of past Emperors.

Awash also offers a catering service.
