St. George defeats AS Mangasport 1-0, Ethiopian Coffee loses to Coin Noir
Moanda, Gabon– St. George FC defeated AS Mangasport of Gabon 1-0 here today in the 1st leg preliminary match of Orange CAF Confederation Cup.
Top striker Adane Girma scored the lone goal of St. George.
Meanwhile, premier league defending champions Ethiopian Coffee travelled to the Comoros Island and lost 1-0 to Coin Noir Mitsamiouli in the 1st leg preliminary match of Orange CAF Champions League.
With their away win today, St. George have improved their chance to advance to the next round.Ethiopian Coffee has also a good chance to reverse today’s defeat as they will be playing the return leg match at home in front of their fans.
The return leg matches will be held in Addis Ababa in two-week time.
