2012 Africa Cup of Nations: Ethiopia defeats Madagascar 4-2

Addis Ababa – The Ethiopian national soccer team defeated Madagascar 4-2 here today in its last Group B match of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The match was more of formality as both teams have already been eliminated.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Green Eagles failed to take home field advantage and were held to a 2-2 draw by group leader Guinea.

Guinea finished first in the group with 14 points, followed by Nigeria (11 pts), Ethiopia (7 points) and Madagascar (1 point).

Ethiopia’s goals came from four different players, Adane Girma, Shimelis Bekele, Oumed Oukri and Fikru.
