Ethiopian Football: Defence suffers defeat, Coffee held in Dire Dawa

Dire Dawa – Ethiopian Premier League leader Defence Force suffered their second defeat of the season when they were beaten 2-1 by Harar Brewery here today, wrote Ermias Amare on his FaceBook page.

Harar Brewery led 2-0 at half-time. To add insults to injury, Defence Force also saw their number one player Oumed Oukri sent off in the match.

Meanwhile, Ethiopian Coffee’s journey south to  Sebeta turned out to be a major disappointment for their fans as their team has once again dropped valuable points when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sebeta City.

Sebsebe Shegere and Dawit Mebratu were the scorers.

Finally, in the battle of the bottom of the table teams, EEPCO defeated Trans Ethiopia 1-0 to move up two spots to 12th place. Seyoum Mesfin scored the lone goal (73”).
