Ethiopian Premier League: Ethiopian Coffee defeats Mugher Cement 3-1

Assela – Ethiopian Coffee moved to second place of the Ethiopian Premier League Championship with a 3-1 victory over Mugher Cement here today, reported Ermias Amare.

Mulu Alem Tilahun opened the score for Coffee but Mugher tied the game before half-time. Once again, Coffee went ahead with Mulu Alem’s second goal and Menyahel Teshome assured his team victory with the third goal.

However, 15 minutes prior to the end of the game, Mugher’s fans start throwing objects onto the field and the referee had to interrupt the match. The match resumed but there was no change in the score.

In Yirgalem, Sidama Coffee continues to surprise everyone in their climb to the top of the Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) with a 3-0 victory over Trans Ethiopia. Meskel Mengistu, Amele Milkias and Mengistu Tadele scored the goals.

Meanwhile in Dire Dawa, Sebeta City held Harar Brewery to a 2-2 draw. Former St. George player Biniam Assefa scored his 11th goal of the season, and Ghanaian Ouwsu Rogers got the second goal. Harar’s goals came from Daniel Ayalew and Demiss Teshome.
