Tadesse Tola cruises to victory in Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal – Tadesse Tola of Ethiopia cruised to victory at the Vodafone Men’s Half Marathon of Portugal here today.  In the women’s race, Kenyan athletes claimed the top four spots.

Tadesse took the men’s race in 1:01:05, the second best performance ever at this race, with Josphat Menjo of Kenya coming in second 37 second behind. 

This was a special win for Tola, who was second in this year’s Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) International Half Marathon with a personal best of 59:49, because, he said, “I faced top competitors.”
