Ethiopia Banks SC jumps to tenth place with a 2-0 victory over Hawassa City
Addis Ababa – Ethiopia Banks SC, which has been languishing in the drop zone for the past few weeks, defeated Hawassa City 2-0 here today to jump to tenth place.
As Ethiopia Banks SC breathes a sigh of relief, Ethiopian Insurance and EEPCO, two other Addis Ababa teams in the danger zone, are fighting for their survival.

Relegation battle intensifies as EPL season unwinds
Addis Ababa – There are now two weeks left before the 2009/10 Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) Soccer Championship comes to a close. With that comes an intensified relegation battle as teams scramble to make last minutes’ efforts to stay in the league.

Tanzania soccer club champions Simba Sc have signed Ugandan international and St. George midfielder Patrick Ochan for reported fee of US dollars 60,000, according to the club’s website.

Drogba says he’s out of World Cup with broken arm
SION, Switzerland — Didier Drogba told teammate Kolo Toure that he will miss the World Cup after breaking his right arm Friday in a warmup match.
