I saw this video clip from overseas. I always heard Ethiopian soccer was going bad and felt very bad, cause I was thinking if one day Ethiopian national team make it to the international arena the soccer world will love them for their skills, passion and good manner but this video clip realy dissapointed me. Not only the hulugan who head butted the ref but also some of the stupid reporters who tried to cover up his crime by saying he was sent because he had argument with the ref while they can clearly see the head butting.
I think his punishment does not much the crime. I call it a crime because beating on people regarless of the place is a crime. He should get more punishment. The reporters also need to get some displineary act for miss presnting the fact

this anther dark chapter in Ethiopian football. what happen on this foot game disgraced our nation as hole. punish the hole team and organization this is clear indication the team officials cannot control their players on football field, not individual players .the football federation must send clear message to all the teams this kind action will not be acceptable will not be tolerated must implement zero Torrence policies for any individual or sport team who behave in any organized sport activity.

The damage to the referee has to be handeled by the court , how can several saint george’s players hit the referee violently, i think there are some desciplened players within the club ,what happend to them they could have at least prevented the subsequent violences.

Saint george football players should be banned forever and the club suspended for 10 years according to FIFA’s code of conduct and regulations , there shouldn’t be any compromise, the current punishement is really unacceptable by any standared, supoose this event has happened in the English PL. what decision would it look like? or let us say this unheared mishapps in the history of football,brutal and cruel action has been done by other EPL team , would the federation pass the same decision.favouring Saint george football 5team is not only killing Ethiopian football but burring it once and for all. let us think what message we are passing to the next generation ,todays children.the decision has to be corrective , educative and accoring to the international standared

I have two thing two say. Incidents like this are not acceptable in any football pitch. However, it happens. Before all of us try to say some thing about it we should put our self in the players & the referee’s position. The first problem for this situation is taking the final much to Sebeta where most people can’t really see what happened. The second problem is ETV. From my experience I personally have doubt on the trueness of ETV news. I still agree that the players need to be patient and respect the referees’ decision. But this made our referees’ to do what ever they want to because they can get away with it so easily in the past. This is not a question of loving or hating Saint George it is a matter of improving our falling football in any aspect.

*people who are a real fun of football do not wish or pray for the team that they not support to go out of the competition. I don’t think this is healthy.

* I love st.george that doesn’t make me to not like everything that buna (ethio coffee) players do.* according to me our football by it self is not on that stage of Manchester united & city or Madrid & Barsa etc where both teams have their own facilities. They don’t even try to destroy one another.

Most of the comment that was stated above doesn’t look right. It just looks like trying to destroy the club. This for me is UNHEALTHY SPORT MAN SHIP.

Finally if we like to see our football changed I say lets start working from our self. Instead of blaming the player, coaches, federation etc … Ask our self what we have done to improve or football. It is not one man job. It takes the whole nation to stand and act. At list go to the stadiums and scream on the players spending the night in a bar or who do foolish acts in the pitch etc. On the other hand give ahand for those who relay fight and work hard to improve their and their team football. IT ALL HELPS. LET’S TRY IT.

It simlpy shows tha fall of ethiopian football. I used to be one of the attaindant in Addis Ababa stadium,but such arrogance and over reaction has never happened in the history. Its a shame on that so called st.George club. I know the players very well and i just want all of you to know that non of them deserve to be a football player not even close to. So disappointing!!

This players from St. George should be banned for a year without pay. It’s the only way to set an example, get them where it hurts. The EFF should not in any way be tolerant of this behaviour, this tag’s belong on the street and not be allowed to even step in the stadium. This is the reason Ethiopia has not quilified for any major tournment. Discipline and respect for the game is the most important ascept of the game. If this gangsters don’t fellow the rules they lose the privilage to play, simple as that. No wonder Ethiopia has not quilified for any major football tornment.
