Addis Ababa, Ethiopia –Ethiopian Coffee FC, currently in 3rd place of the 2009/10 Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) championship, raised 4.1 million birr ($303,024) at a fund raising event held here on May 12, 2010, reported the weekly sports publication, InterSport .
The event was held as part of the club’s ongoing efforts to strength the team’s position in next year’s championship.
Ethiopian Coffee’s remaining 4 matches include 3 home and 1 away matches, in which they beat EEPCO and Defence Force 1-0 in Addis, tied 1-1 with Sidama Coffee and won 3-2 against Meta Abo Brewery away.
