Temesgen Tekle of Dedebit FC leads EPL Goal Scoring’s Chart

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) – Newly promoted Dedebit FC had a very good chance of winning the Ethiopian Premier League (EPL)  title when it established a commanding lead in the first round. Unfortunately, its lack of experience & other circumstances prevented it to remain at the top, and St. George retained the title once again .

One form of consolation for the team is the performance of their leading striker, Temesgen Tekle, who is leading the EPL’s chart with 19 goals in 30 matches.  The young man has a good chance to be crowned Top Goal Scorer of the Year if he maintains his leadership and avoids being overtaken by his nearest rivals – Tafesse Tesfaye of Ethiopian Coffee(16 goals) and Sifedin Hulder of Defence Force(15 goals) – over the next 4 weeks.

EPL’s Top Scorers after Week 30:
Temesgen Tekle (Dedebit FC) – 19 goals
Tafesse Tesfaye (Ethiopian Coffee) – 16 goals
Seifedin Hulder (Defence Force) – 15 goals
Adane Girma (St. George) – 13 goals
Jibril Kedir (Metehara Sugar) – 13 goals
Mohammed Nasser (St. George) – 12 goals
Salahdin Said (St. George) – 11 goals
Dawit Fekadu (Eth. Coffee) – 10 goals
