Addis Ababa (January 2, 2010)- የኢትዮጵያ ፕሪምየር ሊግ 10ኛ ሳምንት ጨዋታ ባለፈው ቅዳሜና እሑድ በክልልና በአዲስ አበባ ስታዲየም ተደርጓል፡፡ የቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስንና ኢትዮጵያ ቡናን ጨዋታ ባለፈው እሑድ ያስተናገደው የአዲስ አበባ ስታዲየም ከዓመታት በኋላ ከአቅሙ በላይ ተመልካች ለማስተናገድ የተገደደበት እለት ነበር፡፡
እለቱ ለኢትዮጵያ እግር ኳስ ድክመት እንደምክንያት ሲቀርብ የቆየውንና ከዘጠኝ ዓመታት በፊት ወደ ኢትዮጵያ የገባውን ዲኤስ ቲቪ ጥያቄ ውስጥ የከተተ ነበር፡፡ በርካቶች ለኢትዮጵያ እግር ኳስ ድክመት ዲኤስ ቲቪ ያመጣው የአውሮፓ እግር ኳስ ሳይሆን፣ አቅማችንን ልንጠቀምበት የሚያስችል መሠረታዊ የሜዳ ላይ ሥራ አለመሰራቱ እንደሆነ ሲናገሩ በከፊል ደግሞ ድሕነትን የሚጠቅሱም አሉ፡፡
ከኢትዮጵያ ክለቦች በርካታ ደጋፊ ያላቸው ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስና ኢትዮጵያ ቡና ቢሆኑም፣ ቡድኖቹ ሜዳ ላይ የሚያሳዩት እንቅስቃሴ ከሌሎቹ የተለየ ባለመሆኑ አዲስ አበባ ስታዲየም ለተመልካች ድርቅ ተጋልጦ ቆይቷል፡፡ ይሁንና ባለፈው እሑድ የሁለቱን ቡድኖች ጨዋታ ለመከታተል በአዲስ አበባ ስታዲየም የታደመው ተመልካች በዚያኑ ቀን በተለይም በምሥራቅና መካከለኛ አፍሪካ በርካታ ደጋፊ እንዳለው የሚነገርለት አርሴናል ጨዋታ እያለው የአዲስ አበባ ስታዲየም ከሚያስተናግደው በላይ ተመልካች ማስተናገዱ ብዙዎችን አነጋግሯል፡፡ ሁለቱ ቡድኖች የከተማው ተቀናቃኝ ስለሆኑ እንጂ ተመልካቹ ለአገሩ እግር ኳስ ተቆርቁሮ አይደለም የሚሉም አልጠፉም፡፡
ለኢትዮጵያ እግር ኳስ ውድቀት እና ተመልካች ከአዲስ አበባ ስታዲየም እየራቀ ለመምጣቱ ዲኤስ ቲቪ እንደምክንያት ሲነሳ መቆየቱን በተለያዩ አጋጣሚዎች ሲነገር እንደነበረ፣ ችግሩ ከስር ጀምሮ መሰራት ያለበት ባለመሰራቱ፣ እግር ኳስ ከአዝናኝነቱ በተጨማሪ የገቢ ምንጭነቱን ባለመረዳት፣ የማርኬቲንግ ሥራ ባለመከናወኑ የተፈጠረ ስለመሆኑ የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ቡድን ዋና አሰልጣኝ አብርሃም ተ/ሃይማኖት ሲናገሩ፣ የስፖርት ጋዜጠኛ ሰይድ ኪያር በበኩሉ ለእግር ኳሱ ውድቀት ዲኤስ ቲቪ ሳይሆን አቅምን ያገናዘበ መሠረታዊ የሜዳ ሥራ ባለመሰራቱና ተመልካች ከስታዲየም ማግኘት ያለበትን ማግኘት ሳይችል መቅረቱ ነው ይላል፡፡ More on The Reporter
we have talent,we have football fans,we have good players but honestly we don’t have real stadiums,i think that even messi cannot show his talent on our stadiums so i think the best solution is by building good stadiums.

You know what Melese Zenawi said when asked to allocate money to renovate the existing stadium? (not build a new stadium)
His answer to the parlament members:
“Let’s eat and drink (food-water) first, then we worry about 22 so called ‘athletes’ run around chasing a ball”

and I tend to agree with him… not a good investment for the whole Ethiopia.
I believe in inspiration and dedicated training. If we have a good plan and implemetation strategies in training and supporting our kids, I strongly believe that they will succeed. I know some Ethiopian kids in US schools succeeding in sports, such as American Football, and Hockey with little support, but great inspiration. We need to stop undermining our kids self-esteem. We need to praise them regularly so that they will have the necesssary mind set to win their games and /or meet other objective. We need to respect our own values and learn from our mistakes before comparing ourselves with others. My point is let us build our self-esteem. There are many ways to implement this: one of them is not to post negative things about who we are and what we did over and over ……. agin- rather let us inform each other how we can be better …. I thought that NYALA is the name given to our national soccer team, I think it is WALYA (I apologize for not making a little research not using the correct term) ; in fact, I stongly believe that naming our national teams with our precious animals has many benefits. If my comment passes the moderation, I used NYALA to represent the National Soccer team of Ethiopia.
