Addis Ababa (December 14, 2009) – The 8th week of the Ethiopian Premier League continued over the weekend with defending champions St. George defeating Adama Kenema 3-1 to move to 3rd spot, and Dedebit FC maintained its lead of the EPL with a narrow 1-0 win over Trans Ethiopia. Awassa Kenema is in 2nd place after beating Meta Brewery 2-1.

Nairobi, Kenya (December 14, 2009) – Defending Cecafa champions Uganda have retained their regional title after defeating Rwanda 2-0 in the final of the Cecafa Cup in Nairobi.
